Pachelbel

Johann Pachelbel, the composer of the infamous Canon in D, was born in Nuremberg, Germany in 1653. Growing up, he was an exceptional student, with amazing academic and musical abilities. He went to school at St. Lorenz Hauptschule and the Auditorio Aegediano in Nuremberg. In 1669, Pachelbel hit the books at the University of Altdorf and in the same year he was lease as the organist of St. Lorenz church. After less than a year, finacial problems forced him to go asleep out of the University and study at the Gymnasium Poeticum in Regensburg. He studied music with Heinrich Schwemmer and composers, Georg Caspar Wecker, and Kaspar Prentz. Kaspar Prentz was one of the most serious enamours in his life, as he introduced him to Italian music. In 1673, by and by Prentz remaining Regensburg, Pachelbel left hand for capital of Austria, where he worked as an organist. Living in Vienna for five went on to influence his style of music. In 1677, Johann move to Eise nach, Thüringen, Germany. Here, he worked as a mash organist below Daniel Eberlin for Prince Johann Georg of Sachsen-Eisenach. Johann Pachelbel soon became well know as an organist and composer. He alike began teaching children music. After the cobblers last of the Prince Johann Georg, Pachelbel played for Eberlin.

Pachebel moved to Erfurt and worked as the organist for the Protestant Predigerkirche (Preachers Church) for 12 years, lag married twice. In 1690, Johann left Erfurt for Stuttgart and once again, took a spirt as a court organist, this time for Duchess Magdalena Sibylia of Württemberg.
